High Holy Days

On Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur, our entire community comes together for prayer following a month-long period of reflection called “teshuva” – a process of self-examination, commitment to growth, and seeking forgiveness.

Our High Holy Day services are joyful and uplifting. Our community members are central to the experience, davening Pesukei D’Zimrah, Shacharit, and Mincha, reading Torah and chanting Haftarah.  We are led by our Rabbi, Daniel Berman, and our High Holy Chazzan, Professor Joshua Jacobson.

You can join us in person or by Livestream

Opening our doors to anyone and everyone is a central value at Reyim. Guests and visitors and always welcome. You do not need tickets to join us. While there is no specific cost for guests, we encourage a donation of $180 per person. If you are visiting, please let us know you plan on coming so we can make you a nametag and welcome you.

We publish all of our service times the month before the High Holy Days.

Rosh Hashanah begins Friday evening, September 11, 2026.

Elul Meditations

Entering the High Holy Days meaningfully requires us to prepare ourselves for the experience. Jewish tradition understands this intuitively, and sets aside an entire month – the Hebrew month of Elul – for spiritual preparation. To help you prepare, you can find a text or meditation for each of the thirty days of Elul.
